Deja vu!

He looked deep into her eyes and actually said those words that she had been waiting for so long.

"You are very beautiful...I love you and I miss you so much"

The other words seem to have faded away and she definitely wished there was a pause button because she did not want to let go of that moment.

The moment was real and he was just beside her but then it was to narrate a scenario in which he tried to suggest his dear friend to use these dialogues to sort out the simple issue he had with his wife.

R.I.P Steve Jobs

The gutsy silicon valley entrepreneur had been my source of inspiration and will be forever.

Damn the Pancreatic cancer and damn the field of medicine that could not save this man from the jaws of death. He'll truly continue to remain a legend, visionary and the sole inspiration for many.

Its my natural tendency to associate the human characteristics with someone who lives by that and this masterpiece helped me understand the inner meaning of words like "Charisma", "fearless", "Gutsy", "Confidence", "Innovator" etc...

"Love you Steve... You'll remain in our hearts forever".

"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me".

A life well lived and a Job well Done, Steve!

Confuso!

If there is a term that can be used for someone who tries to analyse the probability of an event/occurrence/response/reaction then it would truly apply to me because that's something that I have been doing very religiously for over a year now and the interesting part is I am still clueless and haven't deciphered anything that I have been trying to and has left me wondering.

Sounds confusing, isn't it?

An optimist would copy Plato's thoughts saying "Wonder is the feeling of the philosopher, and philosophy begins in wonder". Well, am not sure if I am heading towards it but there are possibilities which may or may not drift me away.

Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious...

Some portion of my brain and its partner who is linked by neurons, oh wait! no, a larger portion of it is going through a trauma of uncertainty and unlikelihood of unexpected instances to happen and it seems to be taking a toll on me and in fact is driving me nuts and at times repents for abandoning the science world of psychology which might have fetched some closer solution. Why am I talking nonsensical when I know it ain't a mystery as it appears to be. It could be because of the intensity of the signal strength from the source to the destination and the pattern it follows from time to time. The interesting factor is that there cant be an inference derived upon the analysis made as the pattern doesn't really follow a pattern and the result is "no trending".

So, in the process of my analysis I figured out one thing and it makes me feel good. The key finding is that I never hated Physics and Biology (as I had assumed earlier) but Computers!!!

You sang to me? Really?

We all know that music can be a great stress-buster especially when its soothing and it eventually keeps playing on 'repeat'. At the moment am finding it hard to let go off this decade old song and switch on to the next one in my playlist.

Its undoubtedly the perfect blend of Marc Anthony's magical voice, the beautiful lyrics and the background score.

You sang to me!

Oh
I just wanted you to comfort me
When I called you late last night you see
I was fallin' into love
Yes, I was crashin' into love
Oh of all the words you sang to me
About life, the truth and being free, yeah
You sang to me, oh how you sang to me

Girl, I live off how you make me feel
So I question all this being real
'Cause I'm not afraid to love
For the first time I'm not afraid of love

Oh, this day seems made for you and me
And you showed me what life needs to be
Yeah, you sang to me, oh you sang to me

All the while you were in front of me I never realized
I just can't believe I didn't see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me
How I long to hear you sing beneath the clear blue skies
And I promise you this time I'll see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me

Just to think you live inside of me
I had no idea how this could be
Now I'm crazy for your love
Can't believe I'm crazy for your love
The words you said you sang to me
And you showed me where I wanna be
Yeah you sang to me, oh you sang to me

All the while you were in front of me I never realized
I just can't believe I didn't see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me
How I long to hear you sing beneath the clear blue skies
And I promise you this time I'll see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me

All the while you were in front of me I never realized
I just can't believe I didn't see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me
How I long to hear you sing beneath the clear blue skies
And I promise you this time I'll see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me

All the while you were in front of me I never realized
I just can't believe I didn't see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it
When you sing to me
How I long to hear you sing beneath the clear blue skies
And I promise you this time I'll see it in your eyes
I didn't see it, I can't believe it
Oh but I feel it

...and...the addiction continues!!!

To top it all, here is something that flashed into my mind for seconds.

Deep in my thoughts
as I hear the most romantic music
I only wished you were here to look into my eyes and hold me close

I wished it was you and the moment was true :P

The Wishlist of a Wanderlust

I am someone with wanderlust and just the word "travel" excites me so much.

I spend my past time researching on the places that are worth a visit and my destination list continues to expand every time a new one catches my attention. Could I have been a gypsy who just wanders across the most exotic places in the world and learn different cultures, food and living? I very much envy those people who are into this profession.

Someday when I get a big fat pay cheque or if I win a lottery (basically when my money bag becomes heavy), I would love to explore some of these beautiful places across the globe. My checklist can be never ending but for now these are the ones that am settling for now.

India:

1. Andaman & Nicobar Islands / Lakshadweep - to go on scuba diving, island camping and snorkeling
2. Allepey - for the Boat houses
3. Amritsar - Golden Temple
4. Leh/Ladakh
5. Taj Mahal - doesn't need an explanation
6. Pelling/kalimpong - River Rafting
7. Rajasthan
8. Himalayas - To experience the freezing cold (It stretches across India and hence categorizing it under this list)

Across the Globe:

1. Venice - To catch the glimpse of their architecture and watch their dance fest
2. Hawaii - Honolulu man!
3. Paris - Wouldn't it be more romantic to be in the actual romantic city
4. Phuket/Banghok/Pattaya - For the islands, floating market, night life and shopping
6. Dead Sea - A non swimmer can't ask for more where you can survive without getting drowned.
7. Switzerland - I always fancied Switz and would love to visit the quiet countryside. I want to visit Lauterbrunnen. Its gorgeous!!
8. London - Its London... What more is required?
9. Turkey - To visit the caves
10. Gothenburg - For the scenic beauty
11: Dubai - Bhurj and shopping
12. Hallstatt - Yet another beautiful town in Austria that reminds me of Wordsworth's poems of Nature!
13. Kenya - Safari
14. Alaska
15. Greece - Skopelos & More. Ever since I saw the beautiful islands in 'Mamma Mia' where Merryl Streep lives I got carried away by this place
16. Maldives/Mauritus/Seychelles - I am a 'water' person. You must have known by now. I can keep visiting beaches/lakes/islands/streams/rivers... without any complaints. H2O is the key.

I am just hoping and wish that sometime down the lane I can surpass the virtual trip through Google and rather pack my bags and be ready to explore the world in reality.

Dietology...

My experiments with diet!!!

Day 1:

I was quite prepared for day one which according to me was the toughest. Yeah, as mentioned earlier I am allergic to fruits and somehow managed to live on fruits throughout the day. I must admit that a sense of satisfaction prevailed throughout but that wasn't the case with the fellow companion who joined me in this venture. Was excited about day 2 and did some grocery shopping.

Day 2:

This was supposedly the vegetables day and I sailed through it till eve and gotta say that the second day of a diet is always easier than the first. You know why?

Well, here is the answer!!!

"The second day of a diet is always easier than the first. By the second day you're off it."

By evening I managed to break the diet by feasting on the finger licking chicken meal from KFC. It couldn't have got any better.
So, with that my experiments with tummy comes to an end.

I felt a little miserable though however I realized that there's always a first time and there's always a next time... wink

To overcome my guilty feeling I went through some of the funny diet quotes and it made me feel better.

Here's one that I like..

"The biggest seller is cookbooks and the second is diet books—how not to eat what you've just learned how to cook."

Jokes apart, I realized that the "diet thing" is for others and isn't my cup of tea!!!

A challenge is a challenge

Like every single women even I desire for the "chic look" and tend to hyperventilate about the extra flab which adds up to the increase in blood pressure levels.

I am nocturnal (makes me think that I must have been an owl in my previous birth, if it counts) and that rules out the option of going for a jog early in the morning or hitting the gym. I know there are a lot of options to shed the extra pounds however my laziness wins hands down all the time. Today, at my workplace, I challenged a collegue of mine to follow GM diet and finally I was cornered and asked to take up the same challenge. Its a challenge and I can't say No, so I have agreed on this. This means I am going to be a cattle for 5 days grazing on fruits and vegetables.

Here is the tough part. I am allergic to fruits and I got to sustain it for a day which I couldn't when I tried it the first time. Oh boy! I got to do this somehow.

Its not about the weight loss totally but this is going to test if I really have the will power to get over this task on a winning note irrespective of the hurdles and something that I got to prove it to myself. I hope I can do it and I am going to upload a picture upon successful completion.

The day to remember or in other words the day the task starts is on the Independance day of United States of America.

Wish me luck!

The Cave house

While I was surfing, this beautiful cave house caught my attention.
In this modern world, we always associate a cave to the prehistoric times and to the lifestyle of ancient tribes who dwelled in it mainly for necessity and not by choice. It is true that even today there are people across the globe who live in caves for ample reasons.

Here is the one I was mentioning about:

The Entrance:

The Hall:

The Bedroom:

Sit Out:

With the increasing real estate prices wouldn't a cave house be a better option to live in?

Jokes apart, I hope someday my caving experience gets fulfilled.

Did you know? Troglodytes is infact the term used for the cave dwellers.

This game all started when a dear friend of mine mentioned about jotting down the 30 things that one wants to do before he/she turns 30. On the 30th birthday one has to review the list and strike off the ones that you actually made it. Isn't it interesting?

Its the Saibo song from the film "Shor in the city". Not sure if its the music or the lyrics or the magic in Shreya Ghoshal and Toshi's voice.

The confessions of a "Sweet Lime"

There she is, in a state where her heart is thumping fast and her brain experiencing a roller coster ride and is clueless on what would happen next. She thought that her hormones were dormant until that charismatic acquantaince which proved her wrong. When and how did this all happen? The fruitology says he is a Craneberry and that she is a sweet lime. No wonder the sweet lime finds it so difficult to express her feelings for him.

Should she pour her heart out to him?

Would the feelings be mutual?

Is she ready for the "No" word?

How would she feel if there is someone in his life already?

What if he does not have feelings for her?

Could it be possible that both feel the same way yet reluctant to confess for some reasons?

Does he even know how she feels about him?

Will she join her predecessors and stand at (N+1)th position in the list of you know what?

Is rejection better than assumption?

The probability of Yes and No is in par at 50%. Would it be a fairy tale ending or would it be time to wake up from her dreams? No matter what, I think she will have an answer for that question that runs in her mind all day long.

GOOD LUCK Sweet Lime!!!

5. Own a great stereo system.

6. If in a fight, hit first and hit hard.

7. Keep secrets.

8. Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen everyday.

9. Always accept an outstretched hand.

10. Be brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be. No one can tell the

11. Whistle.

12. Avoid sarcastic remarks.

13. Choose your life's mate carefully. From this one decision will come 90
per cent of all your happiness or misery.

14. Make it a habit to do nice things for people who will never find out.

15. Lend only those books you never care to see again.

16. Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all that they have.

17. When playing games with children, let them win.

18. Give people a second chance, but not a third.

19. Be romantic.

20. Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.

21. Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life-and-death matters, nothing is
as important as it first seems.

22. Don't allow the phone to interrupt important moments. It's there for
your convenience, not the caller's.

23. Be a good loser.

24. Be a good winner.

25. Think twice before burdening a friend with a secret.

32. Be bold and courageous. When you look back on life, you'll regret the
things you didn't do more than the one's you did.

33. Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them.

34. Remember no one makes it alone. Have a grateful heart and be quick to
acknowledge those who helped you.

44. Make someone's day by paying the toll for the person in the car behind

49. Wave at the children on a school bus.

50. Remember that 80 per cent of the success in any job is based on your

51. Don't expect life to be fair.

Found this thread lying in my inbox for years...There are still lots to be aadded.

Hypocrisy

1. If Sachin scores a century, the team loses. A bunch of jokers even pray that the legend gets out in 99 or even for a duck.

2. When a guy proposes a girl it means he has guts whereas if its the other way round, she must be so desparate. Spare her.

3. Most of the conservative families are quite strict when it comes to love marriage. They'll have their own set of criterias. Same religion, same caste, complexion, status etc... If they are unable to find the appropriate match, they would ask "Havent you found one? Different caste is ok. Same religion is preferred but Christian is still ok." Heights of hypocrisy...

4. The senseless Senas who involve in cheap acts of beating women and couples for going to pubs, celebrating frienship's day, valentine's day.. etc. They give the stupidest of explanations saying that the culture is at stake. Where did such Psychos originate from. The sad thing is some portion of the so called "Educated" ones also support such male chauvenist acts saying Women got to dress accordingly. What the beep!!!

5. If a girl wears western outfits and stays away from family (being independant) she has to be a boozard with many boyfriends. God bless the poor souls.

6. A,B,C and D are supposedly friends. A tries to be the good one in front of everyone. Theoritically A loves everyone. A is sweet to B. A bitches about B to C. A is sweet to C. A bitches about C to D. A is sweet to D. A bitches about D to B. BITCHY!

Why Apple and not Orange?

I was more inquistive in knowing the reasoning behind the naming convention of Apple.

Here goes the interesting story from what I read...

The most admirable individualist silicon valley enterprenuer who shows up in his black turtle neck during all of his company's product release was involved with his group of friends in running a community farm in Oregan. He was doing it part time while working in the Bay Area of San Francisco. He suggested the name "Apple Computers" to his other co founder Steve Wozniak.

Wozniak said this in the book about the name of the company:

He (Jobs) said ‘I’ve got a great name: Apple Computer.’ Maybe he worked in apple trees. I didn’t even ask. Maybe it had some other meaning to him. Maybe the idea just occurred based upon Apple Records. He had been a musical person, like many technical people are. It might have sounded good partly because of that connotation. I thought instantly, ‘We’re going to have a lot of copyright problems.’

They also tried other names like the Executex and Matrix Electronics, but they didn’t fancy it as much as Apple Computers.

Later they dropped the computers part and name it Apple. That's how the name was born.

Think Different!!!

The coining of yet another famous name that we see in our day to day's life "Google" is again interesting.

In 1996, Larry Page and Sergey Brin were trying to give a name for their search engine. They tried it with "Backrub" for its analysis of the web's "back links".

Larry was studying at the stranford University sharing the office in room 360 with other graduates including Sean Anderson.

while discussing several names, Sean came up with the word "Googolplex" which means 10 to the power of 100. It is a cardinal number represented as 1 followed by 100 zeros. Since Google used immense data for indexing his justification got Larry's nod however he did not like plex added and they finally arrived at Googol. When Sean tried to check if Googol was already registered, he unkowingly typed Google and the domain was available.

Larry and Sergey liked the name Google and finally registered it that way.

That's the story of how Googol became Google.

When the girl in the green scarf was questioned as to why she shops so much, she replies saying "The world gets better when I shop". I played the role of Rebecca Bloomwood for quite some time in reality. Yes, shopping excites me. Its a girl thing and a known fact.

There were times when I had accompanied friends for their shopping and had ended up buying stuffs more than them. It so happened that I had gone for a stroll and the manequins in the showrooms tempted me enough to pick their cool collections on sale and I had overwhelmingly acknowledged them. Everytime I step out during the weekends I never fail to bring in a new baggage along irrespective of whether I actually use those things purchased.

Its been quite some time that I did some massive shopping. These days when I come across the showrooms or any outlet for that matter I dont have the excitement to go and check out every damn thing out there and I dont find the value for money in most of the stuff on sale. For some reasons I am not finding anything great either. Have I lost the sense of fashion or have I become matured enough to decide between what I really need and the junkie stuff which remains as the abondoned ones forever in the wardrobe occupying the space for the heck of it. I think its the latter.

In the end it gives a sense of good feeling that I now know what I need to buy and what not to...

Lui

He has received a lot of compliments about his smile. Slowly he started to notice that his smile had become much brighter from the time he first saw her. He had no complaints against the week days.

He would'nt have used as much of his mathematical skills in school or at work as much as he used them to calculate the probability of her birthdate, probability of her having a boyfriend, probability of her liking for him and... Their smiles acknowledged each other. It was vacation time and he missed her presence around yet hoping to see her soon, really soon.

One fine evening when he was deep in his thoughts the mention on her name brought his attention to the conversation the group was having. He actually heard it right. Yes, she was gone!

He failed to notice that his smile is now incomplete...

By the shore

One of the things that makes me inadequately happy is "the beach". I can spend hours together on the shore and watch the waves rush towards me in excitement. The torquoise water, the soothing waves, the fresh air, golden sand, sea shells and the time spent in seclusion watching the beautiful sunset is totally worth it.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.

April Rain!

Doesn't it feel nice when it downpours all of a sudden in the hot summer.

Wow! It was such a welcoming rain in the evening that brought smiles in many of the faces in Namma Bengaluru!

I love the strong smell of the wet mud when it starts to drizzle and the way the condensed water vapours reach the surface of earth.

I remember my childhood days when I used to stand near the door and wait for the water level to increase so that I could send my version of the Titanics to sail for a while and reach the sea.

I never miss to try my artistic work on the water droplets accumulated on the car panes.

I very much fancy the transparent umbrella which I've been hunting for so long so that I could flaunt it around when it pours. Sadly, I havent found it anywhere and the shopkeepers generally give back a weird look whenever I enquire about it. Hopefully I find it somewhere soon and when I get one, it better rain and then maybe I can even start singing "Under my umbrella".

Cheer leader!

The IPL season has begun and like the politicians I am confused as to which team should I form a coalition with.

Let me try some permutations and combinations to arrive at one final team that I can cheer for.

I am a Tamilian, so technically speaking, I should be a CSK supporter and join the "Whistle Podu" troup but I've been in Bangalore for more than 5 years and love the place equally. So, should it be for the Mallya's boys?

Looking at it from another perspective, there cant be a cricket lover who isnt a fan of the Little Master and I am no exception. Should it be the Mumbai Indians instead?

Virat, Albie, Steyn, Raina are widely distributed across CSK, RCB and DC. This is more confusing now. Hell with ya.

After bleeding blue royally throughout the ICC WC and bagging the trophy in our kitty, it doesnt pursuade me to tag one of the state teams as my favorites.

I am going to stay neutral and watch the glamor of the game. Afterall IPL is all about business!!!

Its complicated

When do we say its complicated???

When some part of your brain is impulsive in deciding something at the spur of the moment, it pays an arm and leg to amend the decision sometimes

When you dont really know what you want from life and get it going for the heck of it

When you expect things to happen the way you want and just one instance turns the whole thing upside down

When you keep making plans for something that isnt going to happen

When you know what you exactly want and yet reluctant to go for the kill

When you have no clue of what your crush thinks about you

When you cant speak your heart out

When things are monotonous

When you have a perfect dress with a perfect mismatch footwear

When you cant decide something on your own

When you firmly believe in something which isnt really worth it

When your parents start pressurising you for the wedding. Its understandable with Parents but what's the matter with every Tom, Dick and Harry

When you try to complicate a simple thing

The list would go on if I dont stop it here.

Why complicate things? Maybe perfection doesnt do wonders all the time. At times you have to let yourself loose and act upon things that needs attention and get it sorted. I agree to the fact that not everything can be set right in an attempt, but the outcome of every attempt will definitely be a learning experience. What's the point in hyperventilating (borrowed this term from my friends frequently used vocab list)? Its just lame to keep pondering over things that cannot be solved. Sometimes its the outcome of the choices we make or its simply destiny.

My friend's signature statement is "Destiny has a plan" and I am sure it does for everyone.

Its the rule of life that a constant change is what gets it going and a genie is'nt going to bring in the change. Its got to be us for sure. So, why make an excuse with a standard phrase "Why me?" when things go wrong. Its understandable that we tend to get bogged down easily under stress but it also matters how we try and get out of it.

Why am I being so serious? Humour is the best medicine and I would say just get over the complicated stuff with a Smile!!!

Remedy

While I was trying to figure out the reasons for feeling low, I found the list that helps me get out of it.

1. Get a stylish haircut. I vote 100% for this . Addons include chocolate pedicure/manicure/waxing.
2. Redesigning the wardrobe
3. Wear a nail paint. I am obsessed with black these days.
4. Go for a long walk
5. Brownies and chocohola...mmm.. Heaven
6. French fries. I dont really bother about the calories when it comes to this mouth watering snack.
7. Listen to my favorite song collections
8. Shopping
9. quotes. Love the ones on Attitude/Life/Change
10.Harry Potter (I dont have the stats of many times I have watched it)
11.Do something different. Change your routine.Keep yourself occupied.
11.A sudden travel plan
11.Talking to my G3s
12. A rejuvenating massage

Well, this actually helps me!!!

Moodswings

I am feeling blue...In a Pensive and dejected mood.
This is one of the days where you feel terrible, depressed, act weird, behave like a snob for no reason or maybe there is some which your subconcious mind is aware of.

Why am I feeling like this?
Does it signify something?
Could it be due to stress?
Am I missing something or scared of something?
Is it because I am confused?
Maybe I am thinking too much?

I think its just one bad day on a mood swing I guess.
